One of the most common fear that people have is the fear of public speaking and while is something that seems very difficult, in reality just with some practice you can conquer fear of public speaking and gain self confidence.
Most people have such a fear of speaking in public that a night before the speech they are so nervous and feel so miserable that they get sick or stress. But you know what, many of todays successful speakers at one time had the same problem and i mean a serious fear of public speaking but they overcome it, that doesent mean that they dont get nervous sometimes but that doesent create panic or fear.
Lets take a look at some tips that you can use to build your self confidence in public speaking:
1) breath deeply before you make your talk, slow down your breathing, try to get control over your nervousness and take deep breaths, that you put you in control of you body.
2) Unclench your teeth and jaw, when you get nervous you tend to do this and its important to stop it if you want control your nervousness.
3) A vital point is to practice, if you have practiced your speech a lot and you know exactly everything you are going to say you should not be afraid of any big mistakes and it will build your self confidence while speaking.
4) If you can is better to talk your speech than to read it, sometimes it can get boring, unless you really need to read the speech talk it.
5) Stand in good posture, if you are aware of your physical posture and you do it right, you can project confidence to the audience with your body and thus make you feel more confident.
6) Involve the audience, let the audience be part of what you are saying, ask questions, let them participate actively in the subject.
Those are some important points for you to consider when you make your next speech or public speaking. The most important part is to practice before the event with every point mentioned and you will be ready for anything.
